Partner Event: The A to Z of Getting Your Food Products to Market

If you are interested in starting a small food production business, the City of Kingston, Frontenac County, the Township of South Frontenac and we are here to help you.
There are resources available to make the dream a reality, including three commercial kitchens in Kingston, many kitchens in Frontenac County, and a hall in South Frontenac.
Anyone who is looking to produce and sell food products can access these facilities. This event is a steppingstone to help you get started. There is a lot to know about food production, regulations and resources. We are here to provide that support. There is a demand for local food and many of our local producers have expressed their willingness to support these ventures.
From renting and using a commercial kitchen, to understanding all the regulations and food safety requirements, to getting your product on the shelves, this training day will walk you through every step. This is a great opportunity for those who want to start selling that secret recipe family and friends are always asking about, for the people who are looking to take on a side gig, or even a full-time business, for farmers looking to add a secondary revenue source to their business, or the artisans out there that are already producing a food product and looking to take their business to the next level.
Representatives from the City of Kingston, Frontenac County, South Frontenac, the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness the Ontario Ministry of Rural Affairs, the South East Health Unit (formerly KFLA Public Health), the Canadian Food Inspection Agency, and industry experts will be on hand for this full day training event and give you all the tools you need to get your products to market.
