Free
Do you want to be your own BOSS? Do you have a business idea you want to run with? Come see what the Summer Company Program has to offer!

Do you want to be your own BOSS? Do you have a business idea you want to run with? The Summer Company Program can help you take that idea and make it a business.

Funded by the Ontario government and run through Kingston Economic Development Corporation, the Summer Company program, has been helping students start and run their own businesses since 2001! As a Summer Company entrepreneur, participants receive hands-on business mentoring from local business leaders and grants up to $3,000 to make their dream job a reality.

In this program, students exploring entrepreneurship participate in training workshops with professionals in various fields. In doing so, students will be able to confidently create a business plan, put together a pitch deck, and learn how to set up and start their own business, while receiving ongoing mentorship throughout the summer.

If you’re interested, join our Summer Company Program Coordinator, Simon Denford, for a one-hour information session, held at the Kingston Economic Development offices, to present the program and to answer your questions and concerns.

We’ll see you there!
